An auto crash which occurred at Ile-Ife-Ondo road, has claimed the lives of 11 persons, leaving 8 oters injured.
Eleven persons were on Thursday evening, July 9, feared dead in an auto crash at Ile-Ife-Ondo road.
It was also gathered that eight other persons sustained serious injuries.
According to a police source, the crash was caused by reckless driving and over-speeding by drivers of a Toyota Camry car and a bus.
One of the tyres of the Toyota Camry was said to have busted, causing it to collide with a commercial bus from the opposite direction.
It was gathered that the two vehicles were completely razed, affecting free-flow of traffic on the busy road for several hours. Eight of the passengers in the bus, including a toddler reportedly sustained serious injuries, while 11 others were feared dead.
Victims of the accident were said to have been rushed to Trauma Center in Ondo town where some of them are still receiving treatment.
Some victims, according to eyewitnesses, were burnt beyond recognition.
The corpses have been deposited at the morgue of the General Hospital, Ondo
