Jemimah
Ugen, known by stage name JEMIMAH, is a singer/songwriter from Delta
State, Nigeria. Her debut single “Suddenly” was released on the 1st of
March 2017 and has been described as a breath of fresh air with it’s
soothing sound and catchy guitar lines.
She was born and raised in Nigeria and moved in her teens
to the U.K. to further her education. After living and working in the
U.K. for awhile she left her comfort zone and family and returned to
Nigeria. Living in both countries has allowed her explore and experience
sounds from cultures on both sides of the world and this has greatly
influenced her work. Growing up in choirs from a young age to secondary
school to university and learning from great vocalists has helped
harness her talent.
A lover of all things creative, writing, fashion, design,
art, theatre and music, she explores these areas in her work. Never
compromising, she makes sure whatever she births is JEMIMAH.
