One of the dead black market operators
According to reports, petrol-sellers suffered a fire outbreak in
the line of the illicit trade in the Isolo area of Lagos state yesterday
night.
How the fire was ignited remains unclear as at the time of making this report.
An eyewitness reported the black market dealers went to purchase
fuel for resale as the biting crisis of fuel scarcity resumes in some
parts of Nigeria again. In the course of transport the fuel, there was
an explosion which led to the death of all the parties involved.
The Federal Government has frequently discouraged the sale of fuel
in the black market but several efforts to deter their activities have
failed.
