Nigerian Army on Friday confirmed another recent offensive against Boko Haram terrorists as it left many of their members dead while recovering dangerous arms and ammunition. 
 
The Army, in a statement by the media coordinator of Operation Lafiya Dole, Col. Tukur Gusau, revealed that the troops of 115 Task Force Battalion under 28 Task Force Brigade, during clearance operations between November 3 and 5, 2015, cleared nine more Boko Haram strongholds around Lassa axis.
 
Gusau said the terrorist camps includes Lassa, Muthavo, Dagu, Kumabza, Izge, Unworo, Zangore, Kilekasa and Pumpum.
 
During the operation, four Boko Haram terrorists met their waterloo in the hands of gallant soldiers while others fled their place and abandoned their weapons. 

 
Also 15 Troops of 25 TF BDE conducted another offensive operations along Korede axis in Damboa LGA on November 5, 2015. During the operation, 3 motorcycles suspected to be used by the insurgents during the last Sunday attack on Azir village were recovered. Stolen food stuffs from the village were also recovered. At Korede, troops demolished terrorists observation posts.
 

Gusau said: "Our Troops continue to dominate roads leading to Azir, Wajikoro, Damboa and Biu towns to deny Boko Haram Terrorists any possible freedom of activities in the area.  The fighting spirit of the troops remain very high."
