Robbed Access bank branch in Festac Town
Banks in the Festac and Mile2 areas of Lagos have shut their doors against their customers following the robbery incident that took place in the FESTAC branch of Diamond and Access banks.
Daily Independent reports that a visit to banks in the area observed that all the banks, including the only First Bank of Nigeria Plc in the ever-busy Mile 2 has shut its doors against its customers no thanks to the robbery incident that occurred early Tuesday October 13 morning.
Media reports say the heavily armed robbers, dressed in camouflage came in via the canal in speed boats. They were reported to have blown the doors of the affected banks before carting away an unspecified amount of money, at the same time shooting sporadically.

An eyewitness reported the policemen manning the area fled while one of the officers surrounded by the blood-sucking bandits voluntarily submitted his gun to the assailants and laid down flat will the operation ended.
