Officials of the University of Ilorin have denied no fewer than 35
candidates rights to participate in the recently organised post- UTME
screening exercise over indecent dressing which is against the laid down
rules and regulations set by the school.
The sidelined candidates as reported were gathered at their centre
for the computer-based Test (CBT) organized at the permanent site of the
University but where denied participation by officials due to their
inappropriate dressing.
It should be recalled that the University authorities had already
advocated against indecent dressing in their advertorials about the
screening rules and regulations prior to the screening date.
With the development, the affected candidates may have automatically forfeited their chances of writing the crucial examination which would have allowed them admittance into the University.
When contacted, Deputy Director of Corporate Affairs of the University, Mr. Kunle Akogun, said he was not aware of the development, but added that “it is possible”, because of the war against indecent dressing on the campus.
