According to a report on BBC, a christian fighter in Syria has beheaded an IS militant to avenge his people that have been killed by the jihadist in the northern part of Syria.
A human rights group in Syria says the incident occurred at the Hasakeh province, where ISIS control major parts.
According to the report, the christian fighter captured the militant at Tal Shamiram, a remote community.
“He took him prisoner and when he found out he was a member of IS, the Assyrian fighter beheaded him in revenge for abuses committed by the group in the region,” Syria’s Human rights observatory chief Rami Abdel Rahman said.
The Christian fighter was with the Kurdish forces, that have been waging continuous battle against the jihadist group and have successfully chased ISIS out of over a dozen villages that was under their control in Hasakeh province.
