Kidnappers arrested in their underground Shrine with Fake Currency [PICS]

An underground shrine that doubles as kidnappers cell has been uncovered by police in Oyo state at Isase, Ojoku, in Ona Ara Local Government Area of the state.
Posh cars and fake foreign currency was discovered in the kidnappers den in a raid led by State Commissioner of Police, Mr. Muhammed Katsina.
The cars include a Toyota Camry and a Nissan Almera.
Idols, cowries and a substance that looked a mixture of salt and oil that was poured on statues. Other diabolical items were also found in the shrine.

There was an underground cell for kidnapped victims.
During the raid, two of the suspects managed to escape but, 43yr old Ismail Adesina, was apprehended by the police.

He denied claim that they were kidnappers but said him and his other gang members who are currently at large only use the shrine to dupe people.
The suspect confessed that they have been operating for the past four years and dupe victims between N150,000 to N250,000 depending on their extent of deceit.



He said;

“We have deceived up to five persons, comprising four men and one woman. The woman came to us because she was barren. We asked her to bring N150,000 or N200,000.
“We built this place ourselves. We do the work ofBabalawo here. Our clients used to come from as far as Abuja.
“I hail from Beyerunka, Ibadan. My father was aBabalawo. But my father was not a fraudster like me.
“The owners of the cars are our partners that usually bring customers to us.
“My wife divorced me and went away with the two kids she had for me. She left me about two years ago because she asked me for money and I did not have.
“I have been into this business before the divorce issue came in.”

The police commissioner said he had spread his dragnet to catch the fleeing suspects wherever they might be.
